Free educational forum: "Take Charge. Protect Your Money."

 

Oregonians are facing the perfect storm for scams and schemes:   high unemployment, skyrocketing prices and fear.  Con artists are using the current economic downturn to befriend, build trust and ultimately take advantage.  In these tough times, Oregonians need to have information to help weather this financial storm and prevent schemes. Hear from a panel of experts and learn to “take charge” to protect your financial future.

Presented by the Oregon Department of Consumer & Business Services' Division of Finance and Corporate Securities in conjunction with AARP Oregon. Support provided by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office and the police departments of Albany, Lebanon and Sweet Home.

A number of agencies will staff resource tables to provide timely      materials and one-on-one conversations including the Oregon Insurance Division, the Senior Health Insurance Benefits Assistance (SHIBA), and Linn County law enforcement agencies.
